General Information
Time
The 24-hour clock format of timekeeping will be used in the symposium.
Onsite Registration
Onsite registration to check the attendance will be on 16 October 2024, from 07:00 to 08:15 (Wednesday), Graduate and Continuing Education Building lobby. Other hours are 07:00 – 08:30 on 17 October (Thursday) and 18 October (Friday).
Release of PSSFNS1 Kits
All registered participants can pick up their symposium kit from 13:30 to 17:00 on 15 October 2024 (Tuesday) at the Graduate and Continuing Education Building lobby. Another schedule for symposium kit pick up is from 07:00 to 08:30 on 16 October 2024.
Wear PSSFNS1 ID at all times
Wear the PSSFNS1 ID at all times while at the venue. Th e PSSFNS1 ID is required for admission to the venue, all sessions, lunches, and breaks. Tickets for lunches, snacks, and welcome dinner will be included in the symposium kit.

PSSFNS1 Committee Members
The PSSFNS1 Committee members shall be wearing IDs identifying them as members of the committees. Feel free to ask them questions.
Submission of Presentations
Submit the regular oral presentations to tbtiphpssfns.official@gmail.com on or before 09 October 2024 and student competition presentations (student oral speed, fishing for solution, and SSF vlog) on or before 04 October 2024. Submitting early is encouraged. Th e Secretariat will no longer accept oral presentations on the day of the symposium.
Mounting and Dismounting of Posters
Look for the Poster Information Desk in the Little Th eater lobby area on 15 October 2024 (Tuesday) to register your poster and know the assigned poster board. All presenters (regular or competing) are responsible for mounting and dismounting their posters. Posters should be mounted from 13:00- 17:30 on 15 October 2024. Please bring mounting materials. All posters will remain in situ throughout the symposium.
Posters must be removed by 18 October 2024, after the closing program. Any posters left at the symposium venue will be removed and there is no assurance it will be returned to the owner.
Certificate
a. Certificate of Participation – show your PSSFNS1 ID
• Th is will be issued for those who attended the PSSFNS1 and who did not make any presentations.
• Approach the certificate booth. The Certificate Committee will release the certificates on 18 October 2024, from 15:00 to 17:00.
b. Certificate of Appreciation
• Th is will be issued to oral and poster presenters in regular and student competition sessions.
• Th e Certificate Committee will release the certificate to the session chairs and will be awarded during your designated session schedule.
c. Certificate of Appearance
• Th is will be for Philippine Government Employees

Photo Booth
Th ere will be a photo booth where photos taken (with consent) of participants will be uploaded to the TBTI Philippines Facebook. Having your photos taken means you agree to have your photo uploaded to FB.
Smoking Policy
Smoking is not allowed in the forum venue. Smoking ban is also enforced in Iloilo City where the venue is located. Th ere are designated smoking areas only in airports and in some areas.
Mobile Devices Etiquette
Turn off (or put in mute or vibrate mode) your mobile devices while inside the symposium venue.
Dietary Requirements
Your dietary requests were noted. Th e food to be served was carefully chosen to ensure they are safe for people with allergies and other restrictions.
Photography and Recording Policy
Photos and videos may be taken during the PSSFNS1. If you do not wish to be photographed, then inform the Registration Desk during the registration or during pick-up of kit so that your ID can be properly tagged.
Traveling by Plane to Iloilo
By plane, travel time to Iloilo takes around 1 hour from Manila and 30 minutes from Cebu.
To/From the Airport to the City
The Iloilo International Airport is approximately 30 minutes away from Iloilo City Proper. Several transportation options are available for arriving and departing passengers, including taxis, UV express vans, and other forms of public commute. Taxi fare is from 500 – 600 pesos. UV Express vans charge 100-200 pesos up to SM City, Iloilo only. Th e transportation stands are in front of the Iloilo Airport terminal, within the waiting area for arrivals.
Getting Around Iloilo City
Iloilo City is served mostly by passenger jeepneys, mini-bus, and metered taxis within the city limits. These often serve fixed routes and mostly travel on the city’s major and secondary roads. Taxis flag down rate is 50 pesos and the distance rate is ~13.50 pesos per kilometer. Minimum fare for jeepney is 13 pesos and mini-bus is 15 pesos.
Dress Code
The dress code for the PSSFNS1 is smart casual. Participants are encouraged to wear Filipiniana during the Opening Ceremony on October 16, 2024, and the symposium t-shirt (included in the symposium kit) during the welcome dinner and socials night.

Venues
All plenary activities will be at the Auditorium. All parallel scientific sessions and competitions have designated rooms at the College of Management Building. Art sessions will be at the OICA Conference Room. Video showing will be at Cinematheque. Special sessions are at the Auditorium. Posters and exhibits are at Little Th eater. Marketplace is at the Little Theater grounds. Please see map provided in the next pages to find these venues. You may enter the campus using the Delgado gate.
